A. General information
1 - When can I watch feature films and short films?
The viewing period begins on Thursday, October 7 at 09:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday, October 17 at 11:59 p.m. UTC / GMT +1 hour.
2 - Can I watch a rented film during the entire festival? Will the projections be stopped and replayed later?
Each movie has a playback period of 30 hours. Once you have started to watch a movie (once you have done “play”), you can stop and retrieve it during the next 30 hours. After this time, the session will have “expired”.
3 - Until when do I have access to the content of the platform?
The films will no longer be available on Sunday, October 17 at midnight, coinciding with the end of the Festival in person. This means that movies currently playing will be stopped and cannot be resumed.
4 - Can I watch films outside of Spain?
No, the content is only accessible in Spain.
5 - What does it mean when a movie is sold out ?
All sessions have a maximum number of viewings, so it is possible that some are “sold out” as happens in theaters when physical tickets run out.
6 - How do I create an account?
• Click on “Create Account” at the top right side of the site.
• Then complete the “Name”, “Email” and “Password” fields. Please note that you -must write your complete email address, otherwise the message “Please enter a valid email address” will appear.
• Then click on “Submit”. You’ll receive a confirmation mail in your inbox. If you didn’t receive your email in your mailbox. Remember to check your spam and junk mail folder. Click on the link in the email to validate your registration.
• If you register and the following message appears: “This email is already in use”, it means that you have already registered. Then click on “Sign In”.
7 - How can I connect?
Click on “Sign In”. Complete the “Email address” and “Password” fields. If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgotten your password?” You will receive an email where you can enter a new password.
8 - What if I forget my password?
In the “Sign In” section click “Forgotten your password?”, Enter the email address you used to create the account and a link will be sent to reset your password.
B. Payment questions
1 - Are all screenings paid?
Yes, individual passes can be purchased or if you prefer there are offers in the form of packs.
2 - Can I buy more than one film at the same time?
If you are buying your tickets via Sitges Online (with Mastercard or Visa) you have to buy one item at a time.
3 - Can I use my physical tickets online?
Tickets for the Festival in person cannot be used to view the same film in digital format.
C. Technical questions
1 - On how many devices can I watch platform content simultaneously?
You can watch a movie simultaneously on up to 3 devices. If you wish to change the device, you must go to your profile, click on “My devices” and delete the previously registered device.
2 - Once a device is registered, do I have to watch all the movies on it?
It is possible to change devices (new or old). To do this, you can go to your profile on “My Devices” and delete a device to be able to use another.
3 - Can I watch content on my iPhone / iPad?
Yes, you can watch content from your internet browser.
4 - Can I watch content on my Android device?
Yes, you can watch content from your internet browser.
C.2. Computer specifications and operating system
1 - What are the system requirements?
You can use a PC with Windows 7+, a Mac with Intel, and a Mac OS 10.12+. It is recommended to use Windows for proper functionality. You will need a broadband or fiber optic internet connection - the modem connection will not work. You will find more specifications in the following questions. THE PLATFORM DOES NOT WORK WITH LINUX.
2 - Can I watch content using my Linux device?
No, the system is not optimized with Linux.
3 - What are the requirements for Windows computers?
Operating systems: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10. Browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer or Opera. It is recommended to use the latest version of the browser, as older versions may not be compatible. Internet Explorer on Windows 7 is no longer supported. You need a broadband or fiber optic internet connection - the modem connection will not work.
4 - What are the requirements for Mac computers?
Operating systems: MacOS 10.12 or higher. Browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Opera. It is recommended to use the latest version of browsers, older versions may not be compatible. You need a broadband or fiber optic internet connection - the modem connection will not work.
C.3 Chromecast and Airplay
1 - Can I watch platform content on a TV or tablet?
This is possible if your TV or tablet is compatible with Chromecast or Airplay. When you start the projection, you have the possibility, in the menu at the bottom, to send the image to a compatible device such as TV or tablet.
2 - How can I use Chromecast to watch my movies?
• Here’s how you can use Chromecast with TV on Chrome browser on computer or laptop:
• Connect your computer to the same Wifi as your Chromecast device.
• Click on the three-bar menu at the top right of the Chrome toolbar. Select “Cast” from the menu.
• In the dialog box, choose the Chromecast device you want to use.
• Start the movie by clicking on “PLAY” on your computer.

C.4. Video Problems
1 - What is the highest video resolution available?
The platform has a maximum quality of FULL HD, but you can choose a lower quality depending on the type of connection you are using.
2 - A problem with the video? I don’t know how to watch the movie, what’s going on?
If you can’t watch a video, check that your browser is in the list of browsers available. We recommend that you update your browser to the most recent version. Check under point “C.2. Computer specifications and operating system ”.
3 - What connection do I need to watch the movies?
The quality of the video will be automatically adjusted to the speed of your internet. For High Definition (HD) viewing, we recommend VDSL, cable, fiber optic as we cannot guarantee constant viewing with ADSL.
4 - Why does the video stop or not work correctly? My connection is weak, what can I do?
If your internet connection is bad or spotty, you may have a problem playing the video. Try a lower viewing resolution. You can check out the image below.
5 - I can no longer watch a film / short film that I have rented?
There is a reading period for all articles. Once you press play, you have 48 hours to watch the content. Please see point “A. General information - Question 4 ”.
1 - How can I select the subtitles?
To select the subtitles, after pressing “Play”, you must press “cc” and select the language you want. You can check out the image below.
2 - The subtitles are really low on my screen. How can I change this?
